African Music day
Lesson: Music
Class: Miss Kehoe - Rec 2 Year: 2016 - 2017
The children in Reception explored African music. We listened to some traditional music from a variety of different african countries. They really enjoyed experimenting with different african instruments such as the Djembes. They were fantatsic at call and response activities and learning about African rhythms. Their favourite rhythm was with a song called 'toom bah ee lero'.
The children also made African masks, drums and took part in some African dancing. They were all saying how much they enjoyed themselves. Take a look at our pictures to see what we've been up to. :D
